I can finally tell you about a wonderful and firstclass hotel from my home. Last weekend we were on a short Wellness-Holiday at Leogang. Maybe you can remember our Mountain Roadtrip in 2015. We visited Leogang back then and we also were able to explore the area a little bit. We were enchanted by the community and the mountains. Back then we already knew that we would return!

The moment I read about the newly opened SPA area of the Naturehotel Forsthofgut online, we had to fix a date to get a look and feel of the wonderful waldSPA. What can I tell you, we were instantly in love and enthusiastic, the architecture, the interiour and the wonderful thoughtful service. But now everything in sequence.

» The Room:  Natursuite Lebensquell

Our room was in the supercozy „Schatzkistl“ of the Naturehotel Forsthofgut. Everything is decorated in a classic country house style with a Skandi and Charlet charm. The bed was wonderful and you’ll dream wonderfully in it. All in All the room was really big and there’s enough space for a ski holiday and the equipment as well. The bathroom also has a bathtub – which is why I was entirely happy. I liked the scent of wood the most.

» The Food:  Culinary from home

The food was really good. The delicious dishes were always delightful and arranged beautifully – very creative! The desserts at the buffet – including a chocolate fountain – were a highlight for the whole weekend. I also had the best curd dumplings e-v-e-r! In the evening there were oysters at the buffet. They were so gooooood!

The Breakfast: When we received the booking confirmation, it said that we would have the best breakfastbuffet from the region- that’s why I was really excited. And I have to say we weren’t disappointed. Manuel prefers savoury food such as bacon, sausage and cheese. He said that it was unbelievable. The fresh honey from the honeycomb was delicious as well. I wasn’t disappointed with the fruits and vegetables. I had a big cup carrotjuice with apple and ginger and a dish full of fresh fruit each day. The joghurt, bread, sweets and all the eggdishes were really yummy as well!

» The SPA Area:  beautiful, more beautiful, waldSPA

The whole waldSPA area is one of the most beautiful SPA-Areas I’ve ever seen. I’m the biggest fan of concrete in combination with wood and natural colours such as mud, grey and green! You can really relax on the 3.800 square meters. Additional to the beautiful saunaarea, with a giant 40 square meters outdoor sauna with a direct view into the hotelowned wild lands, there was also a 25 meter long sports pool. Unfortunately there was a little shortcoming, because the water was a little too cold for me. I think it would be super refreshing in summer, but in winter it was really too cold. But that is just my own opinion. The SPA was really on a 5-Star-level!

» My Conclusion:  We’ll return in summer!

The Naturehotel Forsthofgut really conviced us and we really enjoyed it! We’ve never visited a hotel in Austria with such a great service, nice and thoughtful but down-to-earth employees. You don’t feel the 5-Stars here – in a positive way!! You feel like you’re home and you will be treated this way. Unfortunately the weather was not so good when we stayed there. That’s why we couldn’t go for a walk. That’s why we decided to come back in summer to visit the Naturehotel Forsthofgut again. We also want to explore the mountains, hike a a little and test the wonderful bio bathing lake. All in all, we can really recommend the hotel!
