Keemala Phuket – Luxury Hotel Phuket

Wow, where should I start. With all the beautiful impressions we were able to make at the “villa wonderland” Keemala, I really had to sort out my thoughts (and pictures). Today I want to tell you about our stay at Keemala Phuket A 5-Star-Hotel in the woods of Kamela, Phuket which exceeded all my expectations. A hotel in the middle of the rainforest. You’ve already seen a lot of pictures on Instagram.

Many thanks to  Shine PR and Green Pearls for the invitation & the incredibly relaxed and of course unforgettable time at Keemala Phuket! The opinion which I represent is of course 100% my own.

We were really excited about how our little tree house would look. If it really looks as undescribably beautiful as you can see on the pictures on the website and Instagram and I can tell you – each Villa has its own charme and is just gigantic! Not only huge, but also insanely luxurious and exquisite – equipped with everything your heart desires.

The bathroom was absolute madness! You can choose between Indoor Shower, a bathtub or Outdoor Shower under palms. It was clear to me, that I’d want to use the tub as well as the wonderful refreshing outdoor shower. To make use of the whole package, we showered outside during the day and took a bath in the evening.

The TV wasn’t a usual TV, it was a digital media centre with all the important information about the hotel, about our expenses, bookings and so on. The TV can be used to surf online, read the newspaper, listen to music and watch TV *gg* We were so thrilled by all the offers in our Clay Pool Cottage.

Ah and I nearly forgot – each Villa at Keemala Resort has its own pool. I loved the minibar (which is free except the alcoholic drinks) with the coffee machine. In the rooms you won’t find a capsule coffee machine, but you’ll find a traditional coffee machine which grinds the coffee beans. Sustainability is very important here. The coffee beans are directly from Phuket – they’re not cultivated here, but they’re toasted and packed in Phuket.

» Das Essenculinary top class in Mala Restaurant

We booked breakfast as well as lunch and dinner for our stay at Keemala. The breakfast – what can I say – it was like a dream. The fruits were fresh and yummy – you can’t compare anything in Austria to this freshness. Even the bananas tasted nothing like the ones you can buy at home. That’s why we had big bowls with a lot of fruit every morning.

The menu at Mala Restaurant is really wide and diversified. Next to smoothies, juices and a lot of coffee- and eggvariations, you can also eat thai specialties ands classics from home. We stuffed our bellies every morning. Which is why we only had lunch once. With this heat and the huge breakfast it’s not possible for me to eat thrice a day.

The dinner was a-la-cart and you can choose between thai specialties as well as indian dishes. Most of the dishes are garnished with yummy herbs and chilis. You shouldn’t miss the garden as well! It’s right next to the main pool at the reception.

» Das ResortAn idyllic facility in the middle rainforest

The whole resort was like a mix of Avatar, Jurassic Park and the shire. So surreal and beautiful! Right after arriving we had a tour through the resort and I was thrilled by the Philosophy of the hotel. Here at Keemala Phuket no tree was uprooted. They just built there building around the trees. That’s why sometimes there is a tree in the middle of the villa (which is covered in glass) or in the muddle of the pool.

At Keemala everything is green and a lot of animals live there. For example the two water buffalos. The buffalos are washed in front of the hotelentrance every morning. Afterwards they’re guided into the resort to the herb garden. They can graze calmly and loosen up the soil. A wonderful idea. You need to visit the animals, when you’re at the resort. There’s also a little duckhouse and a henhouse.

The ducks roam free in the resort. We only saw them once at the hanging bridge in the pond though. On the website you can get information about the animals and that it’s not allowed to kill any animal – not by the staff or the visitors. That’s why Keemala Phuket is part of Green Pearls Hotels and is also part of the Small Luxury Hotels.

» Der Serviceexcellently trained and friendly employees

The Thais are very very friendly and lovely as I already told you a lot of times in other blogposts. There are no friendlier people than the Thais anywhere on earth – well I didn’t get to know anyone friendlier yet. The employeed at Keemala were very very courteous and friendly. Whether it’s Housekeeping, the gardener, the water buffalo caretakers, the receptionist or anyone else. With every encounter, the Thais come across with a smile from far away and wish you a wonderful day. Literally every wish was read from your lips.

» The Philosophy of the ResortGreen Policy & Substainability

As mentioned above, the hotel puts emphasis on sustainability. The magical gardens and plantations are watered by sewage. The water in the pond systems aren’t cleaned by pumpsystems or chemicals, but by waterplants. They offer a natural waterfiltersystem and provide a lot of oxygen. That’s why the water in the ponds and streams are really clean! The resort checks the water twice a year in a laboratory.

» My resuméabout the Keemala Phuket

Long story short – the Keemala is an oasis! A dream! Here you can relax 100% and let your soul roam free. The hotel is ideal for those searching for silence, those who seek backing out and to let nature work its magic. Far far away from the wild, stereotypical Phuket (Patong Beach). It’s also ideal for Honeymooners. With the Villa and the area you won’t want to leave anyway. We recommend a stay of at least 2 to 4 nights. It’s great to relax on a wild Thailand adventure.
