Caring for Blonde Hair – How it Really Is
I always get asked how my hair looks always so glossy, golden and healthy. My old blogpost is one of my top five posts. This is a little update, since a lot of time has passed. If you want healthy blond hair and you don’t know how to care for it, then read this post until the end. With these easy tips, I cared for my hair until it was 90cm long.

1. Hot – Hotter – Broken. Stop Overheating Your Hair!

With this simple trick, I saved my hair and strengthened its structure. Since my hair condition was so bad, I stopped blow drying my hair right after showering. I also got a new hairdryer. I’m patting my hair dry with a towel and then I make a turban with another towel to let it dry.

Meanwhile, you can clean the bath, put on makeup, brush your teeth or just wait 5-10 Minutes. Then, I start to brush my hair. This is the first difference to my routine in 2015: I used to put on hair oil onto my tips. Now, I only do it once or twice a month. Since my hair is healthier now and I don’t want to use too many products, I do it less often. I don’t use synthetic products – I just use coconut oil.

I never used heat protection because I think it doesn’t really work. That’s why I dry my hair with a towel and I only air dry it for a short time on mid heat with my new hairdryer by REMINGTON. 2. The Right Brush Has Wild Boar Bristles

It’s also important to brush your hair with a good brush. In general, people say that blonde hair falls out easily. It’s better to comb your hair instead of brushing it but you have to know your own hair. I threw all my brushes with nylon bristles away. They damaged my hair too much. Instead, I now use wild boar bristles, the Tangle-Teezer. Instead of my hair straightener, I use my straightener brush. I will blog this separately.

3. You Can Still Style Your Hair

Natural Beach Waves: Restyle Hair Trends Easily

♥ First Step
After you wash your hair, you need to create a base for styling since your hair is very fragile after a shower. Use some styling foam in your hair and blow dry it. Don’t brush your hair.

♥ Second Step
After combing your hair, you can use “Beach Wave” products, but I just used some normal hairspray. Start your curling iron.

♥ Third Step
It’s easiest if you let some hair hang loose and put your hair up with a pin. You can work better like this and the rest of your hair won’t get in the way.

♥ Forth Step
Wrap your hair little by little around the curling iron. Sometimes using a little more or a little less hair. The curls will look wilder this way. A little tip: the tinier the strand of hair, the curlier the look.
