Here comes the sun! Because daily sun protection is important!

And now he is here – the summer. And I’m so lucky becajse I have a wonderful pool in our garden and two beautiful lakes nearby, which are already three wonderful reasons why living on the countryside is awesome! Obviously we’re spending every free minute at the pool or lake with our friends. Todays blogpost is all about the topic sunbathing and protection and has been created in cooperation with – Lancaster a wonderful sunscreenproduct.

Sunprotection is important!

To every sunlover out there, even if you don’t want to hear it, you should really take care of protecting your skin from the sun! UV Radiation damages your skin! And even if you love tanning, sunprotection should be your top priority. Sentences like: It will be red for a couple of days and then the tan will look good – it’s always like this for me“ are just plain stupid and you can tan without getting a sunburn!

A couple of weeks ago Lancaster send me a bag full of their great products and after staying in the sun a couple of times I can now tell you something about their products – I also want to write about protecting your skin. I have to point out that I’m neither an expert on this topic nor a doctor – I just did some research about this topic to write this article for you. Which products you use in the end is your decision.

Your skin won’t forget!

The Sun. The wonderful planet. But the sun does not only spends warmth, it also emits ultraviolet radiation, which is important for your body to build Vitamin D3, which is regulating the amount of calcium in your blood, which is directly connected to the structure of your bones. You just have to get out to sunlight a couple of times a week.

Prevention is super important.

The right protection factor

A question everyone asks themselves when standing in front of a shelf full of different products. Which protection factor is right? Which is the best for m skin? And which one is the best for tanning? Those who really want to be sage – you can just take protection factor 50. It’s the best protection you can get and it’s good for people with a very sensible and light skin. You can never exactly tell which protection factor is the best because it’s depending on a lot of different things as mentioned above.

For example if you plan a holiday in Egypt, the Maldives or Miami you should definitely pack a bottle with the protection factor 50. I’m tanning pretty fast and my skin is not extremely light, so I buy 30 and 50. It works for me and also for Manuel. At home – I prefer to use a Lancaster product with the protection factor 15 – for working in the garden or biking. So everyon should decide for themselves.

My favorite – cooling protection spray

My absolute favorit is this sprayversion. The transprent and cooling soray by lancaster is perfect. It’s also water and sweat resistant and is perfect for a summer afternoon. It can be applied on wet or dry skin and will leave no traces. If we’re at the lake we often play badminton or volleyball for hours. It comes in handy that the spray is sweatresistant.

Additionally to the sweat and water resistant spray – there’s also a very soothing facegel – What can I tell you – the gel feels very nice on the skin. Your skin soaks it up very quick and it leaves no traces on your skin.

There was also an oilfree milkspray in my package which is also soaked up fast by your skin.
Did you know that through research Lancaster was able to create a product which protects you from UVA / UVB and additionally to that from the negative influence if Infraredradiation?
This products is ideal for a skin that tends to burn very fast.

My conclusion

Next to the above mentioned products there’s also a Tan Maximizer (super super super Product!). The soothing and repairing After Sun Lotion is good for every skintype – it calms your skin right after using it. Manuel tested the product for me since he burned his neck in the sun and he loved the lotion.

And now to my conclusion: The smell is pretty neutral, a little sweet, but not too feminine. The whole family can use these products. How long it lasts depends on how intensively you use the products – so it’s really subjective. I found it really great and I also love the 365 Sun-kissed Drops. You just mix 1-3 drops with your daily products. Even if the products are a little more expensive, I’d recommend them to anyone! The protection you get is just great! Alone because of the new Full Light Technology.
