My quirks | I’m ashamed of …

I think everyone reaches a point in life where you start to question yourself. Sometimes, you just think about a lot of things in your life. You question whether you did everything right or if you should have done things differently. There’s a time you think about if you’re living your life the right way.

It’s hard to admit or to accept certain facts. It’s also hard to make it better, to admit being wrong, and to not be the adult or the strong one. That’s why I like to write it down. To let go. I’m not always tough. Sometimes I feel really bad, I feel tiny or wrong. I should work on my self-confidence. That’s why I want to write down some of my quirks. To get them out of my head.

I’m ashamed of…

… obsessing about a diet.
… doubting myself.
… being too nice to the wrong people too often.
… letting myself being affected – again, even after I swore to myself to not let this happen again.
… my long legs. Yes! You don’t know how stupid people can glare.
… being scared of driving a car after all the accidents.
… sometimes being lost.
… being scared when travelling alone.
… not being able to maintain friendships the way I want to.

I know these are relatively small things and that I shouldn’t care too much. They don’t make me a bad person and I know that I can be proud of myself. I can handle my job, my blog, my trips, my family, boyfriend and friends all at once. I know that I’m privileged to be able to do all this. Even if this does not make any sense, I have to write it down. I’m also well aware that I’m putting myself out here in front of you makes me vulnerable. But I’m hoping that someone can relate to these thoughts. Is there something on your mind, that you want to tell the world? Something you want to talk or write about? Do you feel better afterwards? I hope that you liked my post and that you look forward to these personal posts. My last blogpost “Why I’m on the phone all the time“ was pretty popular. If you’re interested in something special, just tell me in the comments. Perfect people lack the experience and knowledge that comes with making mistakes.
