Pollenca, the wonderful community in the north of the Spanish island Mallorca was our home for a week. After a trip to Palma, I recommend you don’t book a hotel in Palma. Instead, find lodging far from the Ballermann and mass tourism! You won’t regret this. The view and the landscape are so wonderful.
Even the Port de Pollenca was pretty. The beach has a lot of hotels and restaurants. We had dinner here a couple of times. The tourists here at Pollenca and Port de Pollenca are more sophisticated. There are no cheap hotels because everything is very expensive. So, there is no mass tourism like in Palma. There are less Germans. You see more Germans in Palma.

I liked the place. Our villa was on a hill. No neighbours or anyone else disturbing us. I’d recommend to anyone coming to Mallorca to rent a car. Mallorca has so many beautiful beaches, bays and cities. Example number one was the beach Es Trenc, as I already told you. You can reach it without a car, but if you rent one, it will be easier. The Port de Pollenca is a little far from the city center Pollenca and not easy to reach by foot. We also used the car to explore the region and to take a look at cute shops and restaurants. You won’t have to search for long. I attached some pictures of our food.
Delicious Food
As promised, here are some picture of really good food around Pollenca and the Port de Pollenca. We never had a problem finding a great restaurant and we were very happy with the dishes. Most of the time, we cooked or grilled our own meals, which was really fun – because we could jump into the pool. Even cooking in your own Villa has its advantages.
