Turkish Airlines Business Class Review

I took you with me to Thailand via Instagram and Facebook last week and today I want to tell you more about my Business Class Flight with Turkish Airlines. It was really exciting for us because it was our first time flying Business Class. We were really excited. If you travel in Business Class, you don’t only get another seat, there are also extras at the airport when checking in.

When you drop off your luggage in Vienna you can also feel the extras. There was an extra line and you can drop off your luggage to get to the gate much faster. At the security there’s also an extra line for business class passengers! It makes traveling much more pleasant! I don’t really love the hectic rush at the security!

It was really pleasant and I felt relaxed, even though I didn’t even enter the airplane yet. We had to wait at the gate and kill some time, since getting though Check-In and Security was so fast. When the boarding starts – Business Class Passengers are called first. Oh man I really felt special when making my way towards the staff with my Business Class Ticket!

Business Class Review

Business Class Turkish Airlines
Short Distance Experience
VIE-IST

It was my first time in an airplane being all alone and the staff greeted me with a smile. After I stowed my lugagge, the luxury went on! It didn’t took 5 minutes until I got a hot towel and a glass of sparkling wine, fresh orange juice and more beverages. The nice stewardess looked after me and all the other passengers, she also knew my name! This was the next „Extra-Special“ moment.

The flight to Istanbul was very pleasant and I was pampered so much on this short distance flight! There was a delicious breakfast which you can see on the picture below. It speaks for itself right? You can get coffee or tea like in the Economy Class as well. I was pampered so much! I attached a list about what kind of dishes you can get.

At this point I didn’t know yet what I could expect on the long distance flight! I can’t even imagine what you can expect for the First Class. It is just incredible because I felt like a princess and all the crewmembers looked after me.

The Lounge in Istanbul
Atatürk Airport
CIP LOUNGE

After the short distance flight, it was time to visit the Turkish Airline Lounge. I don’t have a direct comparison to another lounge but a lot of readers and other blogposts online say, that the Lounge in Istanbul is already really big. It really impressed me. WOW! It was the first time that I thought this! I was happay about the long stay in Istanbul because you can kill some time in the lounge.

Over 6.000 squaremeters, distributed onto two levels can be used by passengers of the Business Class and people with higher status with Miles&Smiles (from Elite Status) at Atatürk Airport in Istanbul. Everything is renovated and modernised (Re Opening in 2014). The Lounge is awarded multiple times and is one of the biggest and best lounges worldwide! I was so impressed – by the steel construction in the middle of the lounge which is supposed to be a huge globe – there was also a beautiful spiral staircase and a japanese teagarden!

On the one hand there is everything to relax: delicious food, a lot of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), a cinema, a library, a pool table, various game consoles, a carrera racetrack, virtual golf, showers and sleeping places. I could proceed with this list and you can imagine how genius it was!

There’s also very fast Wifi, a lot of big iMacs with printers, sockets, TV’s and magazines and a lot of spaces to work. The lounge is perfect for Business- and Privat trips and it won’t be boring! The time flies by way too fast! I recommend to book your flight with a long lay over, so you can savour all the benefits of the Business Class! And since some of you already asked on Instagram – YES, EVERYTHING in the Lounge is free. Each dish and beverage!

Business Class Turkish Airlines
Long Distance Experience
IST-HKT

After a relaxing stay it was time for a long distance flight to Thailand/Phuket. Since the Business Class on a long distance flight is much bigger than on a short flight, there are more passengers as well. The guests get their own bus to the plane to get in first. YAY! Let’s go! What can I say, you can’t imagine how happy I was, to get into the plane and turn left and not turn right into the the rear part. I was overjoyed and I couldn’t stop being astonished.

When I arrived at my seat the staff helped me with my luggage and I was greeted personally. It was a little weird when the staff addresses you with your name, but it is really great and sympathetic. The cook even came out and gave me the menu incl. wine and breakfastorders. Headphones and a cosmeticbag with snuggly socks, sleeping mask, ear plugs, toothbrush and paste, brush, hairclip aaaaand sooo on. There’s everything you need for a long distance flight.

The seats were very comfortable and reminded me of my grandpas armchair. And – we had two meters to the person in front of you! You have so much space! The display is really big, but I didn’t really use the Entertainmentsystem very much because we were occupied with eating, drinking wine and sleeping. I just clicked through the range of movies and music and I think there’s something for everyone.

Since we had a nightflight, the Service started with a delicious Candle Light Dinner over the clouds. This sentences gives me goosebumps! It’s hard to describe. I decided for a steak, which was not only very soft and fried medium but also the combination with the teriyaki sauce and the veggie rice tasted delicious and it prepared me for my Thailandholiday. Vicky got a salmonsteak and was content as well! The food above the clouds with the wine was très bien!

Here you can see a list of exotic food that you can prebook before travelling (even though I didn’t know half of it – I was really impressed). I wanted them to surprise me and I chose when I was on the plane. The breakfast I ordered before sleeping was wonderful! But now – let’s go on with the most interesting part of this blogpost.

After dinner the staff asked me if they could prepare my bed for me – well I was only waiting for it. I couldn’T wait for it to sleep in a horizontal position above the clouds. I went to the toilet. When i arrived at my seat, the bed was ready – they put linen on my seat and gave me a snuggly blanket as well as a cushion. Wonderful! You can really sleep well here! My flight there and back was great and I slept 6 hours straight – so I felt great after waking up. I was relaxed and rested and I was looking forward to Thailand!

When returning I was able to work the next day (I arrived at 7pm). I always had problems in the Economy Class. I was never wrecked, but sleeping vertically is not my favorite. But now enough of the enthusiasm – I hope you liked my review and you got a good impression of my trip.
