Mamamon Thai Eatery – Restauranttip Vienna

You can find the most authentic Thai-Kitchen in all Vienna at Mamamon Thai Eatery – this super tiny restaurant in Vienna Josefstadt. Together with Green Pearls we visited this restaurant a few weeks ago and I instantly fell in love with this restaurant and its employees. Those who know me, also know that I’m really in love with Thailand – when I had dinner here, I really felt like I was in Thailand. My #homeawayfromhome

The opinion which I represent is of course 100% my own

This restaurant is really super tiny. There is a big table in the middle of the restaurant which you will share with other visitors. Around the table there are also stools at the windowsill. According to the reviews you may have to wait very long for your stool, that’s why I wouldn’t try eating here without a reservation at Mamamon Thai Eatery. The crowds are here for a reason, because the chef Dai is really enchatnting and she cooks wonderful authentic Thai-Food! The owner Piano Plupthong explained to us immediately about what Dai created for us.

Yes, the dishes are a dream. Everything is served like on Bangkoks streets – in colorful plastik baskets or oldschool, colorful plates. All dishes are really tasty and parts fo them were really spicy. Next to the classic dishes such as Pad Thai there’s also homemade sausage from fermented pork, salad from spicy minced, fried eggs, Hangover-Soup that was so spicy, that your mind might go blank and Curry – the best I’ve eaten in this country! Sticky Rice, crispy tofu, gearty vegetables from the wok and much more. But also the chicken wings with the crispy lime breadcrumb coating was really delicious! We also enjoyed homemade Thai-Icetea as well as Thaibeer.

I could still sit here for hours to tell you about this wonderful but I think you should learn for yourself. Book a table a couple of days ahead and then try everything on the menu. You will see that every dish is realy good and you’ll crave going to Thailand.
