Weekend Getaway in Barcelona

As you might have seen on my social media channels I got to visit Barcelona thanks to Deichmann Austria and the Miss Magazine. What a great weekend. Together with Nora, the winner of the Deichmann ShoeBidu Giveaway, I was able to visit the Spanish city.

Here is the Post about the first day in Barcelona
Here is the Post about the second day in Barcelona
Here is the Post about the third day in Barcelona

How do you like her looks? I styled and took pictures of her :) But Nora did really well! I want to share some impressions with you today.

Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and the second biggest city in Spain. It’s known for their markets, the Rambla, and the Sagrada Família. Barcelona is colorful, lively and diversified. The best time to visit is May or June, as the temperatures are comfortable. In Summer it’s about 29° C which is very hot if you want to do any sightseeing.

Distance to city center: 1,5 km
Distance to the airport: 14 km
Distance to the next trainstation: ca. 250 m

You’re in Barcelona quickly – you only have to fly 2 hours and 15 Minutes from Vienna. You need about 20 Minutes into the city if you go by taxi or train.

Thank you very much Miss Magazin& Deichmann Austria, for the Cooperation and for supporting me. My opinion is 100% my own.

I visited the following places

♥ Parc Güell
I expected more, because the pictures I saw looked much bigger and brighter. The parc is really pretty and good to take a walk. A lot of artists there are singing or painting.

♥ Plaça de les Cascades
Our hotel was nearby, so I took a look at the Plaça de les Cascades. In the arena there is a observation tower. You need to visit it in the evening, because the fountains will be turned on, which looks wonderful. Since I was stressed that day, I was just on the outside to take a look.

♥ Sagrada Família
I had to take a look at the UNESCO-world culture. You need to plan in a lot of time if you want to go inside, on weekends up to 5 hours. The building has been under construction since 1882. The towers are 90 to 112 Meters high.

♥ Gràcia
Gràcia is the artists quarter in Barcelona. Everything here seems to be chaotic but cozy – there are tiny shops, cute balconies, street coffee shops. You won’t be able to stop taking pictures.

♥ Marina & Strand & Columbus Monument
The way down to the pier is great. Take the route Plaça Catalunya [Symbol] la Rambla [Symbol] Columbus Monument [Symbol] Pier and you will see so much. There are tons of markets, artists and tiny shops.

♥ Rambla
La Rambla is the most famous promenade in Barcelona. The street is 1.3 KM long. The middle is for passer byers and on the left and right there are restaurants, markets, shops etc. You can find everything here.

♥ Camp Nou
I only saw the stadium from the outside. But since I was here without Manuel, I didn’t go in. I’ll keep that for the next time. Camp Nou is the biggest stadium in Europe – 99,354 people can fit!

♥ L’Aquarium de Barcelona
I also visited the L’Aquarium de Barcelona. Some animals didn’t have enough space which was sad. There was a breeding station for seahorses and starfish and a big area where you could learn a lot about the rainforest and pollution. You can also donate money. There are a lot of pros and cons, but I still liked it there. There are 6 million liters of water in the tanks. You can see sharks and thousands of fish.
