What does a holiday to Mallorca cost? Far away from the Ballermann? Read about my expenses here. I’m really happy about this blog series, because normally it is just such a taboo to talk about money, I think that is sad because it can really help you plan a holiday like this and it will help you know if this destination or holiday is right for you. In this post, you can read about how much my holiday cost.
Flights: I have to admit – I was blown away when I saw the prices for the flights to Palma de Mallorca. Whenever we searched for flights the prices were super high. The flights from Vienna or Bratislava were very expensive

Price per Person: 380,13 Euro
We searched for long too and didn’t found anything cheaper. We booked on the June 17, 2016 , 2 weeks prior to our trip online on the German site billigermietwagen. We needed two cars because there were seven of us. We decided on a Ford Fiesta where you could put your suitcases in the back. There were four people in one car and three in the other.
Tipp: Check if only the credit card owner is allowed to drive or if other drivers are allowed too. Ours was a little more expensive because we had 2 more drivers.

Total price for the rental cars for 8 days: 395,37 Euro
Price per Person: ca. 56 Euro
Pollenca: As you know from my post about the Villa Can Mos, this was a cooperation with Travelopo. I was invited with my friends and we didn’t have to pay for this incredible lodging. The price is okay too. If you have to pay it and if you’re in a big group, the cost won’t be that high. I researched all the costs online. If you’re interested in renting this villa – I can recommend it to you. The price is for the main season; off-season is much cheaper.

We were self-catering most of the time. We made breakfast on our own, lunch only consisted of icecream, watermelon or snacks. In the evening we grilled or cooked together. I listed all the expenses for our food seperately. We also went out to a restaurant because it was Manuel’s birthday and the other day we had some time left before we could enter the Villa

As you can see, it was not that much – although we bought alcohol (wine, beer and rum.) I must say we could have saved 50 Euro, because we left a lot of food when leaving. Plus, we also ate outside in restaurants.
We did a lot of day trips during our stay. You can visit most of the bays for free. The only thing you have to pay are the sunbeds and towels. You will find a list here

The trip cost 690.35 EUR per Person!
That’s 86 Euro per day
As you can see, this was a great holiday. Since it was a big group, the price was very good. Especially considering that we had a great big house with a pool, two cars, and that we did a lot. If we slept in a hotel and used a taxi, it would have been more expensive. The public transport is not flexible either.
